Shortening The Rear Section of a Long Bed
My truck should be arriving in a few weeks and I have been on the fence of making the truck a short bed or maybe cutting a section of the back of the bed off.
I did a crude Photoshop of removing the extended rear of the bed up to the fender, have any of you cut down a bed and if so any issues? It will be interesting shortening up the bed boards and metal strips. The proportions of a shortend rear section of the box seem to look a little more proportioned. What are your thoughts about proportions and look?

Problem is I need to figure out my chassis plans as it is my foundation and starting point of my build. I did my last two Corvettes, 56 and 60 full body off's in about 7 months each. It is crazy fast but I am building a cool collection http://505hp.com/category/c1/

The Corvette frame is after market from Street Shops but they only do Corvette frames. It drives awesome now. The other Corvette in the bottom picture which is a 60 is the hers version of my 56 and it only has a Jim Meyer Racing front end under it. That made a big difference.
