Never got to play in the jungle but was in the 1st Cav at Ft. Hood 71-73. Totally different mission training involving heat and sand. Thanks for your service in a difficult situation.

A-1/9 blue platoon grunt and then Scout Observer 1968.

On the day before I left the unit to go back to An Khe to process out.

71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

When I arrived with A-1/9 on Christmas day 1967 I had the new Issue of Hot Rod Magazine with me that had the 39 bird photo of a CA on a hilltop. I think that magazine got handed around the whole Blue platoon and the guys named everyone in the photo.
