Re: Just pulled this 72 out of the weeds has "special paint"?
Just a quick update. I ordered a spray can of "Terrace Blue" code 509 from Napa.
Turns out it matches almost perfectly with the current paint. A touch darker than the original paint job underneath and inside the cab, but so close that I think the original paint just faded. The can said 1962-1968 for the paint code. So maybe the reason for the "Special Paint" on the SPID? I will be painting the regular bed with this color and leaving the rest of the paint alone other than a few touch-ups. I will post pictures tomorrow. |

Re: Just pulled this 72 out of the weeds has "special paint"?
Bittersweet, but in light of my second son on the way I will need to sell this truck. I will be installing the utility bed again. I have pretty much finished the 14bolt disk brake upgrade (only have to move a shock mount) and I have installed 2" drop shackles.
Will also throw in a spare 350/350 combo I have laying around. Sucks, but maybe one day I can get another one. Having enough money for the hospital bill is more important |

Sorry you have to sell. Congrats on the new addition to your family.
