Wheel selection info
I am currently trying to decide on the wheel backspacing i would need for my 2-4 dropped 90 silverado. It's know that i want 20 inch boss 338 wheels and i know what tire size that i want. I just need to know what width wheel i would need and the proper backspacing i need for said width. I'm wanting 275/45r20 tires which if my calculations are correct would put the tire diameter at around 29.7 inches. I've read that you'd need a wheel width of 10 inches for that tire but I've also seen where people have mounted them on 8.5 inch wide wheels. Just not sure if that would roll the bead inward or not and I'm wanting the tire to be more or less flush with the wheel. I may decide to lower it another 2 inches all the way around in the future. Has anybody else ran this size tire on their 88-98 chevy and if so, what was the backspacing?

Re: Wheel selection info
The backspacing specs are on their website here:
