Best place to pick up 12v switched power for choke?

I bought my truck down south and it had a Holley carb with no choke provisions. I've since bought a Quick Fuel carb with an electric choke. I'm not great with electrical and was wondering if there is some conventional wisdom on the best place to grab switched power from?

I know I've been asking a lot of silly questions lately but I'm coming from motorcycles for the past 20 years so a lot of this is completely new to me.

Not trying to be off the subject, but I always use a manual choke conversion kit. I have never had an electric choke, hot air choke, or divorced choke work properly on a consistent basis. With a manual choke, you always know when the choke is open or closed and by how much. Others will post here that they all always work fine for them. I like simple, certain results. A conversion kit costs $12 and takes about 15 minutes to install.

I've always used a key switched source from the fuse panel as described by Chaplain.

However I've had quite a few cars come through here where I've noticed they are using the positive coil connection, and jumping a wire to the choke. I'm not saying it's the best way, but it seems to work and would be very simple to do, (short wire and 5 minutes of your time)

The fuse box is best. I have seen them hacked into the dist wire or alternator wire but running to the fuse box is the best option.

I ran mine from the back of the starter, it has the second little post that becomes hot after the truck starts.
