Nice start to your project. Looking forward to seeing it come together. Working on setting up my S475 now with my current build.

Looks awesome! How much did you have to clearance the cab floor to fit the 4l80e trans? Are you just running a high hump?

Just a high hump. I was scared whenever I set the cab on, thinking I was gonna have to get the cut off wheel out. But it fit right on there surprisingly enough.

That's great news, I really want to run an 80 instead of a 60!

Re: Project: Boosted Blucille. '70 C10 SWB PB Fab, LS2 S475
Thanks, man!
I was the same way. The money that I was going to have to put into a 60 to be able to handle the turbo just wasn't worth it to me. I just bit the bullet one day and it paid off. |

I'm looking at mine with my 80e and it looks like a really tight fit. Hope my luck is the same!

Re: Project: Boosted Blucille. '70 C10 SWB PB Fab, LS2 S475
Sorry I haven't updated in a while. I've been busier than a cat covering up **** lately. But went to work on test fitting the rest of the body panels.
And this pic makes me wanna ditch the coil overs and throw some bags on it. One day. And there she is folks. All mocked up. Seeing it like this gets me super motivated. Still a long ways to go but at least I'm heading in the right direction. |

Re: Project: Boosted Blucille. '70 C10 SWB PB Fab, LS2 S475
Alright guys. Im terrible at updating this. Things have been moving right along. After getting everything mocked up, I tore it all back apart to get ready for powder coat. 1 step forward 2 steps back.
Started getting the frame rails ready. Getting rid of the factory frame bends and welding the steering notches in. Not terrible for being an amateur welder at best. Made a couple tabs for fuel and brake bulkheads. And that was it. Tear down complete. Off to get powder! |
