Re: Two Q's tailgate gap & roll pan

I'm trying to remember what I had to do to get mine on. I think I may have had to cut a rectangular portion out so the license box would fit. But other than that just line up the body lines and screw it across the top. Then weld up the ends...I don't think there is any taper.

Re: Two Q's tailgate gap & roll pan

My roll pan installed without modification. I used screws to hold the top under the tailgate. Then made brackets to mount to the bedside at the bottom. I did not weld mine, I continued with the gap. Looks like your bedsides are pushed out at the top. Use a ratchet strap to pull them back in place.

Re: Two Q's tailgate gap & roll pan

Ya. I believe I need to cut the section out because the license plate box doesn't fit.. that one down. Thanks! But the gap without tailgate 67 1/2 lip to lip and 67" bottom lip to lip and my roll pan is 67" very tite fit at the bottom corners. Ill try the strap good idea but would i be better moving the bottom out.. d oues only have a quick measure ment. I have two beds without original tail gates and I putting on used bed skin so look to do this right.. thanks!

Re: Two Q's tailgate gap & roll pan

If the bedsides were ever removed and reinstalled then someone had to cut the welds to do it, the welds are at the bottom of the rear stake pocket. There are also bolts on the underside of the bed sides, kinda hard to find them but they are there. I would loosen them up before you try to pull the sides back in..
