Stock wheels - '70 K20 4x4

Hi Gang -

Looking for a set of stock wheels and hubcaps for the '70 K20 4x4. The caps are readlily available from LMC and other dealers. No luck finding the wheels that the caps will clip to.

Any suggestions? Anybody have a set of these lying around? I'm willing to pay some shipping at this point. All of the local tire dealers and wrecking yards have come up empty.

Thanks

Recommend post a WTB ad in the parts section and specify size preference (i.e. 16.5x8.25 or 9.75, etc) as well as if you prefer 16" 70's wheels (slightly more tire selection). n If I were starting from scratch, I'd switch to 16s personally. (I have one with 16s and one 1 with 16.5s just because I had them). As for caps, am unaware of any vendor that sells stock chev caps. LMC does not carry them unless something has changed recently. Check the parts section like jocko said. Here is a web site, I have never used them.

http://www.hubcaps.org/chevtruck.html

Check with PICKMUP, he can make some front caps.

Re: Stock wheels - '70 K20 4x4

are you sure you want original 16.5 wheels, you cannot get tires in that size hardly at all anymore, I have a set of Ford stock wheels that are 16" x 7" I painted them white and they look good, I don't have caps on mine but chevy caps will fit...this is on my 74 K20,I have a set of 16.5 slot mags on my 72, but can't find tires in 33", am going to put a set of 16" aluminum, with round holes in them,on my 72 when I am ready to start driving it,after a crate motor and paint, hopefully by next year.....I find stock 16.5 wheels from 73-79 trucks all the time , could set you up with a set ,I think they are only about 6.5 " wide....

Crazy price, but here's a set of 16 x 7 Ford rims. Same bolt pattern and same nubs for hubcaps.

I have used those guys - even been there in person when I lived in CA. GREAT place. They may not have everything they show in stock, but they are honest about it and good to work with. $25/wheel shipped.

I would not say the 3/4 ton dog dish caps are readily available even from Hubcaps.com. They only stock used OEM caps, and the web site says "ask for availability". That means, we don't normally have any, but we will call you when we find one

Excellent point - sorry about the confusion. I saw the hubcaps.com and jumped to wheels. Wheels.com is the SAME place, and I was actually thinking that this might be an option to call about wheels. Have already called about caps in the past and they won't ever have 3/4 PO3s again! Too popular. Good source for an OEM wheel (or 4) if you need it though.

Re: Stock wheels - '70 K20 4x4

Ok I just went through the same dilemma for my K20. Hit the junkyard and find
a set of Ford E 250 16" 8 on 6.5 wheels. I paid $10 each for mine.16.5 tires are extinct
whereas 16" is readily available. Hubcaps are a different story.......rears are on ebay sometimes but fronts are not. PICKMUP sells fronts for $275 shipped and trust me he's the
only one that has any...period . He's punching rears and this is my second set I've bought from him and they look great. It's your only option if you want the factory caps.
