71 the $239.00 is for the brake kit.It doesn't include the spindles for disc. The spindles are another $229.00. You can get them in 2 1/2 lowered or stock. The disc wont bolt to stock drum spindles. There is another kit that consists of just brackets to install disc on the drum spindles but if I remember right it sells for about$149.00.Good luck with your conversion.

Im converting my son's 70 GMC to disc. I went out and bought a K-member from rotor to rotor...including the calipers, the proportioning valve, lines...ect. My plans are to swap the whole thing out, THEN get 6-lug rotors, being we'd allready bought wheels. This way I can redo the ball joints, control arm bushings, ect...paint the assembly, and then swap out the whole piece. Im planning on swapping out the manual steering gear in lieu of power while Im at it. Any advise on this subject would be GREATLY appreciated....as I know 1 or 2 of the holes have to be elongated somewhat. Im planning on taking pictures as we go, and I'll be posting them on our website.

re brakes

I put in one of the kits from Stainless Steel Brakes last year.
Everything went on ok. The problem was that the kit was
shipped with the wrong bolt to hold the backing plate. It
rubbed the rotors when I made a turn. This wore grooves
in the rotors. I had to make several calls and write letters.
They shipped new bolts and rotors and it has worked fine
since.
