tail light housing

i just got a set of tail light housings for my 70 and i had a dumb question. how do these go in? the p/o gutted the bed of all the wires,lenses,and housings to perform a bondo smooth job that he never finished. they sit in there ok but what keeps them there? thanks.

Screws hold them in- 2 of them I believe. Then the lenses screw into the housing.

thanks but the only screw holes i see is for the lens. what keeps it in the hole?

There are 2 holes in the housing, that is what holds it onto the body, THEN there are 2 holes thru the lenses and that holds the lense on. I wish I had a pic for you, but I don't. Hope that makes sense.

How cool is that? I just happened to have this in my desk drawer.
I am pointing to the the lower mounting hole, and you can see the upper one just over the light socket.
This assembly is held in the truck with two 5/16 headed bolts.

thanks guys. i understand now. i had to go look at the housing. i did`nt notice the mounting holes before. thanks again.
