Windshield gasket adhesive removal?
I've got the glass out and my old seal off but there's a ton of sealant to remove. What's the right way to get this stuff off? Scrape or wire wheel or ? I've got a little rust in each bottom corner that needs some rust converter on it but I don't want to go all the way to metal on the rest of it if I don't have to - this is a rattle-can repair on my military Blazer.

Re: Windshield gasket adhesive removal?
The dash is out, so I tried the heat gun. That worked pretty well, thank you sir.
I have two rust holes I need to weld some patches in. Anyone know what gauge steel is in the windshield channel? I have some front inner fenders in the scrap pile I could use to cut some patches out of, but they're thinner steel aren't they? |
