"Shoe" Update For My 72.....

My truck was down for about 2 years while I pulled the motor and did some improvements.....back together again. I put Vintecs on it when I finished it back in 2008 or so.....thought they looked good but I was always looking for more of a vintage looking wheel. American came out with these softlip Halibrand look wheels, so I bought a set. 18's all the way around with same tires as before. I'm extremely happy with the look!

Great looking truck. I like the wheels and tires setup also. What is it?
I personally think 18" look better than 20" on stock looking trucks.

Re: "Shoe" Update For My 72.....

I keep going back and forth on 18's or 20's for my build.

This picture just added a lot of votes for going with the 18's!!!

It's doing great Jim! I drive it every day and am gathering parts to convert to disk brakes now. I love having a clean original truck that just needs little things at a time and not pulled apart for a rebuild/restoration.

Looks awesome, love the stance. I see your rear sway bar, mine's not lowered but I love the way it handles after I installed mine.

Jim What brand tires and where did you get them? I'm having a hard time finding these sizes in the same tire.

Re: "Shoe" Update For My 72.....

Those look great and thank the lord you didn't ruin it with goofy cartoon size wheels. Yours ia a performance vehicle and those wheels don't take away from that one iota. In fact, they lend to it. Your truck always looked great and now I can't even remember what you had before. I don't recall your truck looking any different, looked fantastic before. Got a pic of it before for comparison or should we leave that out of the thread to stay focused on the now look? Probably. It's cool to see a guy stick with a good truck... knows what he wanted, got it, keeping it. I understand the wanting to change things up. Way cooler than jumping from vehicle to vehicle in my book. She's a keeper! (Wanna sell?)

Re: "Shoe" Update For My 72.....

Jim, I love the new wheels! I am getting ready to order some of these wheels also. I found this while I was looking for other trucks running the Gasser wheels. The only question I have is what backspacing are you running?
