Rear Cargo Door
I am new to this board and Blazers in general and have a question. I am looking at a 72 that looks to be in decent shape. It is missing the rear cargo door and glass. Are these hard to find/replace? What are my options etc?
Thanks in advance!!! |

They are hard to find "used" in good shape. You can buy them new (reproduced) for $385, but that is just the hatch- no hardware or anything else. If the blazer is in good shape don't let this stop you! You will find one if you are looking hard enough!

Thanks for the info. Where do you get them from? What about the hardware and glass?

First, welcome to the board. We'd all like to see pictures of your rig when you get a chance.
You can not get the hardware new, just the fiberglass hatch. http://www.mothertruckers.net/ has the best price (1970blazin listed it above). Good used hatches are hard to find and can get expensive quickly. I've been passively looking for an affordable one for 3 years now. I actually sent a guy some money for one, but he turned out to be a theif and I had to take legal action against him to get my money back. (Don't buy from boytoytrading in Colorado Springs, CO.) My hard top has been sitting on the side of the house since I bought my Blazer. If you like the convertable feature of the Blazer, you'll problably prefer a soft top anyway. There are two manufactures (that I know of), http://www.specialtytopco.com/ and http://bestop.com/. They run around $600.

Thanks again for the info everyone. The Blazer that i was going to look at this weekend has been put on hold by the owner. If the person he agreed to sell it to doesnt show back up by the 18th he will email me back. I am still looking though.
