Squarebody tractor - real or shopped ?

This was posted on another forum.
I can't tell if it's real or photoshopped.
If it's real, all I can say is "WHY???".

Re: Squarebody tractor - real or shopped ?

Having played around with Photoshop quite a bit, I can tell you it is VERY difficult to photoshop something like that because of the detail in the grass. You can't just "slap" the rear end of a tractor in behind the individual blades of grass, photoshop doesn't work like that. You need solid, clearly defined borders, or at a minimum a sharp contrast between foreground and background. Blades of tall grass are going to have neither.

I say it's genuine.

Re: Squarebody tractor - real or shopped ?

I would say its real,,, they removed the original side fuel tank or tanks on the truck to fit the tractor rear axle assembly and relocated the fuel tank between the fenders,,, so seen in pic. Great pic find for conversation.

Re: Squarebody tractor - real or shopped ?

I am calling it 'shopped'... I zoomed in and clearly, there was grass over the lower part of the steering wheel.

But the dead giveaway, is the Vent Window Frame and the Mask used to 'protect' certain areas when editing...

I could use the tilt column though... that appears real

Re: Squarebody tractor - real or shopped ?

noticed the cab and rear axle are not at same angel.

cab is angled front away allowing you to slightly see the back of the cab where as the rear axle is angled towards you in the front allowing you to see more of the fender in the back ground.

im going with photoshopped but something i would like to build and drive lol

That's because all the forward gears are stripped... When reverse finally went out, he just left it where it died.
