Back up lights work in NEUTRAL only!
While standing on my head trying to find my horn wires (still no luck) I found the little "L" connector unplugged for the backup lights (two green wires) So, I plugged it in since my back up lights weren't working.
Now remember, this truck used to be a STANDARD now an Automatic.........Well, to my amazement my back up lights WORK but only when the truck is in NEUTRAL......should I just unplug it and forget it????

Is your steering column for a standard or automatic? If it is for an auto, you should be able to adjust the position of the actuator switch(loosen and move left or right), so it only engages when in Reverse.
