anything can be done. but why screw up a 4 x 4 when they are not that easy to come by as 2 wheel drives are. be much easier to find someone who is looking for a 4 wheel and trade or sell it and buy a 2 wheel that you are happy with and save yourself the work.

If it's an all original truck, simply leave it alone and sell it off to someone who's interested. An all original is much better judged as is.
Restoring it can be expensive and might not be a great return on your investment.

how long has it sat? probably has a family of mice in it.
tow it out of the field, see if the engine turns over, drain fuel and inspect tank (replace if needed), new tires, inspect brakes, change oil and filter, new plugs (squirt a little marvels mystery oil in each hole), new wires, new distributor (rent an oil pump tool from autozone and prime oil), carb might need a rebuild, fresh battery and see what happens. Not cheap or easy just to safely get it back on the road. Nice truck though and someone will buy it "as is" but would pay more if it's running. Is that engine original? Looks like my 327 in my 68 K-10. BTW nice backdrop you have there... big sky country for sure!

the reason i posted the pic of the engine is im not sure if it is original from what ive seen 327 didnt come in a k10 until 66? im the second owner iit was driven to that spot in 1994

on the passenger side of the engine, there is a flat pad in front of the valve cover. Clean that off and look for numbers...

im currently bobbing around in the pacific ocean and my internet is scetchy at best but ive been looking at a lot of pictures trying to get ideas wont be able to drag it out of the field til july and there are no mice families but the yellowjackets love it in the cab

60-66 1/2 tons all came 6 lug on a 5.5" bolt circle. 2WD and 4WD were the same pattern. The wheels were interchangeable.
One of the nice things about GM a lot of parts are interchangeable. When your able you can post the engine suffix code and we'll be able to tell you your engines application. After a cleanup that truck will look amazing.

there are several little dings and dents but nothing is crushed so im hopeful that the body work portion wont be too bad. im thinking of disc brakes all around and just beefing up the 327 but nothing crazy . obviously im in no hurry but i am going to drag it in to the shop in july and once it is there ill start peccking away at it
