Windshield leak
Found my water leak, how is this fixed, or what do i tell the guy to do different when he takes it out to try and fix this? I dont know if he used windshield sealer, would that do it?

It leaks down the kick panel

mine was leaking there I replaced the gasket with a precision gasket no leak there now I got something in the cowel area on driver side I'm trying to track down

Are you sure the leak is there and that isn't just water pooling up there? Usually they leak up top, and seeing water on the kick panel kind of tells me that's what is happening. If he uses more sealer when he reinstalls it, that should do it unless you have metal rot under there (which I assume you already checked for when you replaced it the last time).

Yeah all of the rot was taken care off, which there wasnt too much thankfully. Maybe he just needs to use more sealer... If it was the top how would that be getting water to the bottom/inside of the rubber?

Make sure it's a flow-grade butyl sealer. Never use silicone to seal a windshield.

I'm not saying your windshield *is* leaking from the top, just that they normally do leak there. Have you tried directing the stream of water to different parts of the windshield? If you have a syringe, try squirting water at different areas and see if it leaks through.
Or just bring it back to your glass man and have him fix it.... |

they must have had leaking problems from day one because the assembly manual ha a whole section on testing vehicles for leakes.
