Anyone rolling on Vision 143 Torque wheels?

Considering a new set for rims for my 67 C10 Custom. Anyone rolling on Vision 143 Torque wheels? If so what size? Offset? Tire size and drop on the truck?

I've considered them. I found this pic on eBay. They are similar to the US Mags Rambler, which I prefer (but cost a little more too).

Re: Anyone rolling on Vision 143 Torque wheels?

I know this post didn't get a large response but I'm about to pull the trigger on them in the next week or so. I figured I'd put the info I found out so future people can find it. I took these pics at a local car show in the South Central Kentucky area, if you know the owner tag em'.

I think It's a 4/6 drop with 20" rims in the rear and 18" in the front. The close up is from the rear wheel. This person was running Pirelli 275/45r20 on the back but I don't have a pic of the front to confirm. In the 5x5 truck bolt pattern I've found they sell them in 5.25,5.75. and 5.7" Backspacing.

After Measuring my 72 (2.5/4 drop) I'm pretty sure all of those BS will fit pretty easily on mine assuming an 18" rim. I don't have enough drop to pull off 20's without using rubber band tires. The only major downer is they only sell them with a 8.5" and 9.5" width in the 5x5 pattern, I'm currently running 10s but I can live with losing 0.5" I guess. Hope this helps

Didn't see the post till now but I got 20's. Going to run 285/35 and 245/40. Had to use spacers on the rear to get them out enough.

What backspacing and spacer did you use in the rear?

I like those. Ended up with the Ridler 645's because the wife liked them better. I preferred those. Nice looking rims. Mine are 20x10 with 5.5 BS on the rears.

9.5" wide, 5.25 BS with a 1.25" spacer. I know they would come out farther with the wider 71-72 axle but I've got a 69 rear end. I would like to bring them out more but I'm afraid it would rub the inside of the fender. To be honest the inner fender is pretty far away and I'm not sure how far it will move down during a bad bump. Oklahoma roads pretty much consist solely of potholes.

Thanks for the feedback, I'm planning on putting a set of these on my 72 lwb. And would love to not have to add and spacers. Any idea what the offset and backspace of the fronts are? The setup you've got looks pretty darn good.
Thanks

Re: Anyone rolling on Vision 143 Torque wheels?

They only offer 4.5 and 5.15 BS on the 8.5 wide rim and I can't remember which one I got. I do remember that the center of the wheel and the front hub contacted each other (barely) and I had to put on a 1/4" spacer to get them to seat with each other.

Alright, that doesn't sound too bad. I guess I'll have to do some more precise measuring to figure out which bs I need.

Not too long ago, someone posted a pic of a jig they made that would allow you to find out the exact size/backspacing you could get away with.

Use the 67-72 chevy search window at the top of the page...backspacing jig, or something of the like. Good luck!

Post 9. Guy had the same problem with the hub needing a small spacer, and he ran the 5.15 backspace.

Re: Anyone rolling on Vision 143 Torque wheels?

Know it’s been a while but thought I’d share a finding for anyone considering these...well, ya see here these wheels look mighty fine but tha front wheels do need a quarta inch spacer to fit all flat and proper on that there hub. So then mah second problem was that them there lug studs was just a hair too short ta be useful on account a only allowing the nuts ta thread on about 2 turns or so. Now, mah truck has 1/2-20 studs since the discs are off a mid 80’s c10. Ah found Dorman studs 610-080 to be a good fit and just long enough ta let me tighten the nuts all snug and what not without fearin for mah life by way of the wheels dislocatin themselves at a high rate of speed, thereby possibly causin my mortal end. Mah 3rd problem was that when shovin the wheels on, the center caps was a just poppin off like they was possessed by evil spirits. Now, I ain’t none too superstitious and realized that the wheel bearin cap was the culprit and not no spirits. I knowed that Vision had them some spinner style caps and ah reasoned that they looked deeper than the flat caps, and might fix ma issue without whangin and bangin on that there new wheel cap with a hammer, which seems a real unnatural thing ta do to brand spanking new parts. Ah tried it and wouldn’t ya know it worked out all good like!...If I had known the spinner caps fit better I would have ordered that style in the first place. It would have saved me some cash. But, live and learn. Hopefully this might help someone in the future.
