67 and Up Door Latch Mechanisms in 60-66

I would like my 66's door locks/latches to work like the 67 and up trucks. Has anyone tried or heard of way to adapt the 67's to work in a 60-66? It just occurred to me that this might be possible so I haven't had a chance to look at a later model truck to see what might need to be done.

The Altman kit is an option if you have a spare $340 laying around.

If not you would need to cut about four inches above and below the striker and the portion of the door holding the latch assembly from the donor truck. Then you would have to align everything on your truck, cut, weld, realign and figure out the locking mechanism and latch release linkages.
