Will having 5 or 6 extra feet of fuel line be bad for a carbureted big block?
Previous owner ran a hard line to the back bumper for a fuel tank that was mounted in the bed. I just replaced it with a Boyd under bed mount tank. Is it okay to just run a 3 foot flexible line from there or do I need to shorten the feed line? Not running a return line. I don't own any flaring tools and have never used any if that matters.

Should work. The fuel pump don't know how far away the tank is.
Here is a recent thread where someone asked almost the same question. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=708989
