Outer heater box fan seal
I just want to confirm while I'm putting the outer heater box back on the firewall of my 72. I put new seals in it. The round rubber seal for the fan just butts up against the firewall / cowl area and seals ?? You don't try and fold it in to the hole do you? Sorry if a dumb question. I am doing this job on the weekend and wanted to check first. I took it apart so long ago I can't remember. As always thanks for the help. They say the memory is the first thing that goes ...

Re: Outer heater box fan seal
Nope, no folding. It just presses flat against the firewall, as you said.
