Vin tags ... painted or no?
Seems like Ive seen it both ways. Painted or shiny. Whats the correct way for a 68? When I go to a new paint color it sure would be easy to just paint over the vin instead of cleaning and taping.

So the answer is for sure the vins on 68's are clean and polished? Or just the way you like em =) ?
Were any of the vins on 67-72 painted, or all were clean and polished?

All the originals I have seen were unpainted. I would think the tag was added after paint.
