Rear End Swap

Hey everyone! I was wondering anybody could tell me what type of rear ends would bolt onto my 57 Chevy half ton truck. My rear end died on me 2 weeks ago, and I am thinking of going down to the local junk yards to try and find a newer rear end to put on my truck. Could someone please give some suggestions on what type of read ends will bolt in realtively easy?

Also, I was trying to figure out what ratio on the gears would be best. I drive a lot on the freeway, and I have the orignal straight 6 235, and 4 speed tranny. thanx
