Windshield washer pump question

I bought a replacement washer fluid pump at O'Reilly's last month. Does it matter which way the unit is oriented? Each pic I've seen on this forum has it with the intake nozzle down.....will it work with the intake nozzle orientated upwards?

Thanks!

Re: Windshield washer pump question

I believe the little electric pumps will work with the intake up or down in orientation. Take care, Bruce

Could be a big annoyance....could you explain how air accumulates in the lines if the pump is pointed the way I have proposed? *Not being smart, I really want to know.
