Actually I'm testing the trailer brake controller that's in the picture. I was alone and needed something heavy to set on the brake pedal to go back and check the circuit tester, and the turbo was the heaviest thing I had handy (tried a starter, not heavy enough).

It just looked so odd when I went back I snapped a picture!

You didn't even give an hour before giving the answer. I could see what was going on immediately. I have grabbed and tried all sorts of things to push the brake peddle down and nothing is ever heavy enough or it won't stay, so I use a piece of wood from seat bracket to peddle. I bleed brakes that way.

Back to funny. That turbo weighing the brake peddle down will cause some serious lag

Your turbos are here! I can't wait to see some dyno graphs! I want to see how my first build did (well, top end anyway lol) so I'm takin the long bed to the dyno shop next weekend.

Here's a picture of them on the engine (nearest one is upside down, just playing around):

A truck is about the only thing this setup would fit! Maybe a Monte Carlo...

That's what I do, too. Take a piece of wood or broomstick and adjust the seat to wedge the brake pedal in place.

The one in the drawer. You know, the grey kind. I used to have one on my wife's old truck and took it off there.

Are you saying there are multiple kinds? I forget how much research I did when I bought it, likely middle of the road quality. It originally came with a harness that plugged into a GM late model SUV, but I wired it into the '70.

It sucks not being able to hear! LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB! After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
