Re: I guess I need a reality check!!

I recently spent about four months looking for a Step side and finally settled on one I had already owned. That being said, I came across a lot of trucks not as nice as yours for more than 15K price. I wouldn't budge off your bottom line $13.5 price. Today in Arizona there is a high of 111 degrees and that truck would sell all day here.

Re: I guess I need a reality check!!

I don't think air is a deal breaker. Anyone can add that later if they really want it. Especially if the deal is good enough. The biggest issue I find is people don't have that kind of disposable cash and not too many places to borrow money for a 30+ year old vehicle. That being said even though I'd probably pull the drivetrain and swap over to an LS (as nickvig would call me a modder) if you were closer we'd be negotiating a deal. If you haven't already tried eBay I would strongly consider that. Oh and adding to the trucks for sale in this forum wouldn't hurt either.

Re: I guess I need a reality check!!

Nice truck and it is probably worth every penny, but a guy who sells cars as a living once told me that "every day you turn down an offer is the same as buying the car for the offered price". So it helps me to price something if I think "would I buy this today for this amount of money?" If I can say yes then I don't sell, if I can say no, then I sell it, regardless of how much time, money and effort I have in it.

It's hard sometimes, but the inability to do this is why people hang on to cars while they rust away to an unusable heap.

Good luck, Rg

Re: I guess I need a reality check!!

Besides a few odd ball trade offers, I haven't even had anyone come look at it and shoot my an offer. I even lowered the price to 13,500 obo. I still have to look into auto trader, I'll throw it on eBay this week.
