Counterpart chrome bumpers
Anyone have a Counterpart chrome bumper from the truck/car shop ? They're coming to Carlisle truck show this weekend and I've seen them and they look good, just wonder how they hold up and mount.

Re: Counterpart chrome bumpers
I can't speak for the bumpers, but I can recommend the Truck Shop/Car Shop. I broke a visor I bought from them and they quickly replaced it for free - even though it was my fault! Great prices and service. They sell a lot on Ebay.

Re: Counterpart chrome bumpers
I have them front and rear on my 55 . They aren't as heavy as the original bumpers but they bolted on great and had no issues .

Re: Counterpart chrome bumpers
Bought my repop rear bumper from them 3-4 years ago. I agree they're not quite as heavy as originals but for my, "better-to-look-mahvelous-than-BE-mahvelous" truck it's been fine. I painted the back sides of my bumpers with Rustoleum hammertone paint, two coats and you don't pick up the surface rust.
PS: I use The Car & Truck Shop because they're relatively local to me and I only deal with the counter men/women. They've always been nice, no problems. But I've read a number of complaints about ordering from them. Just a head's up, not my experience but someone oughta tell you. Best, Dan

Re: Counterpart chrome bumpers
Thanks for the replies. The only time that I've dealt with the shop is at the Carlisle swapmeet, and a few questions over the phone. The products I've bought have been good, at good prices, they have a great display at the swapmeet and give good deals. It seems hard to buy a good bumper, many folks on this board have had bad experiences with fitment, chrome quality, etc. I like to buy at the swapmeets, I can actually put the parts in my hand before I buy them.
