Brake Line help

I have a 70 C10 short bed. Its kind of a frankenstein truck I lucked out with from South Dakota. I recently put a CPP big brake kit on and now working to replace the lines. Im pretty sure its original lines due to the cracking, clogged and mess its in.

I was tracing the lines and getting distances for steel braided brake lines and came across what I think it some sort of junction/pressure valve. Its located under the radiator, on the inside of the frame. Both lines from the master run to it, along with the rear line and both lines for the front calipers. I've tried to research it, Ive asked other buddies who are more savoy with cars and I'm coming up empty handed. Does anyone know what it is or where I can research it?

Got a photo? May be a proportion value. Did the original have disc/drum combo?

Sounds like the proportioning valve and line set-up off of a 73-87 truck.

yeah, most distribution blocks (drum brakes) and proportioning blocks (Disc/drum) are mounted right below the master cylinder. I bought a replacement line kit from LMC, and it didn't fit for crap, all the flares were a total nightmare to get to seal up, don't waste your time going with a cheap set of pre bent brake lines, spend the extra cash and buy a set of Inline tube CNC bent brake lines, you'll thank your self......

I'll get a picture of it this weekend. The original set up was disc up front and drums in the rear.

The original set up on a 1970 was drum/drum.
Sounds like someone already changed it to disc prior to you owning the truck.

Since the new brake kit master came with a proportioning valve, is that forward proportioning valve even necessary?
