Heater delete blower hole cover

Was the blower hole cover part of the heater delete C48 package? Or, was the hole left open at the factory?

In this photo it looks like that truck never had a blower hole cover and it looks very original.

All of the reproduction blower hole covers, I've found, are listed for sale for cars and not trucks, although I assume I've see those covers installed on trucks. I haven't found anything listed for trucks, new or used.

Thanks for any feedback. I'm returning my truck to C48 Heater Delete and the blower hole cover is the only part that I'm missing.

Re: Heater delete blower hole cover

Can I ask what happens to the dash defrost vents in a heater-delete truck? Are there covers for the holes, or do they just use vents with no pipes, or what happens on the interior?

Thanks!
Dave

PS: I thought for some reason that as of 1967 the federal vehicle safety standards required a defroster for street vehicles... maybe trucks were exempt?

Re: Heater delete blower hole cover

I have no idea about the pic.
These heater deletes are so rare I have only seen about three in 35+ years I have been involved with 67-72 truck.
Finding absolute info about these parts will be tough if not impossible.
