Are you talking about on the side of the block behind the starter? or back of block (behind the flywheel)? with steel core plugs the one behind the starter is almost always the first to go because of the electrolysis caused by the starter

Mike.... you got me thinking and so I drained everything and put in water and drained two more times. After all that I didn't see anything in the radiator it still looks new it is an aluminum radiator. Maybe that makes a difference. I think I will change that plug anyway now that I know. If I have to change that radiator no big deal live and learn. I won't ruin an engine to save a couple of hundred bucks.
