Cpp modular which brake kits work?

I just ordered a Ridetech COilover kit and it comes with a CPP Modular spindle.

I have a 71 with a 12 bolt rear end. From EXPERIENCE which big brake kits work the best?

I was looking at a couple options like the C6 brakes from Boris but they dont work with CPP spindles. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...t=boris+brakes



Also appears that the kit from Properformance is not for CPP spindles either. http://www.azproperformance.com/Pro-...liper-C10.html

Looking for 13" minimum in the front and from reading appears 1 1/4 thickness rotors are best?

Lastly is there any setup with a rear disc and emergency brake that works flawlessly?

What master and booster are you using? Pictures?

I talked with a vendor from this forum and they recommend Baer brakes for the CPP modular spindle.

Anyone use these systems?

Is the 6 piston front worth the extra money over the T4 4 piston setup

Also the rear disc emergency brake experience?

With the amount of money you are spending on brakes, I wouldn't limit yourself to keeping a $300 set of CPP spindles.
Just my opinion, find the brakes you want first.
I would also look at Wilwood.

Pretty much everybody that make a big brake kit now makes them for the 2" CPP modular spindle. Call Travis @ AZ Properformance, they literally have 5 or 6 kits that are for that spindle, or call CPP, they have a few kits too and will be able to steer you in the right direction since it's their spindle. What did Ridetech recommend, I'm sure they'd be able to help.

Travis put that kit together you in the link you posted (AZ Properformance) because guys without the modular CPP spindle are pretty limited for big brake kits options.

As for rear e-brakes, the 'drum in hat' seems to be the way to go, since most of the high-end kits use that style. I have PBR calipers on the rear of my truck (from a '97 Z28) with a working e-brake and it does fine, it's just a simple lever that presses the piston into the rotor when the ebrake cable is set. I had to have a good e-brake since I have a manual trans. Haven't had any problems with it.

Drum E-brake for the win
the caliper e-brake set ups need adjustment and constant use of the e-brake to remain adjusted, which I don't cause I'm auto. Also, I don't recommend the CPP big brake kits. All my rotors are grooved and it took throwing out the supplied pads and changing to ACDelco pads to stop the massive squealing. (ps, grooves started before pad swap, bad grooves, wish I went standard disc not slotted)
