Re: WTB Traclock or Powerlock carrier for Dana 60

This unit is 30 spline and is good for 3:54 to 4:11 gears. As the pics show, it has all new internal gears and clutch plates. I collected parts and built it for my 72 Custom Camper with Dana 60 and just recently sold it. Obviously, I have more than the $325 plus shipping that I need for it. LMK Thanks, Dan

GMC 2500 4x4 Let me know
W314Speed 31 spline axles? I havnt heard of that spline count yet. Just from reading I have heard that they could be low count splines like 16 up to 30 spline. Ill have to pull my axle to find out for sure.

Sorry! Going back to my 31 spline 67-68 442 performance axles. You are correct at 30 spline for the Dana 60. Thanks, Dan

The factory dana 60 in our trucks should have 30 spline axles, at least in 71/72

Re: WTB Traclock or Powerlock carrier for Dana 60

The spiders probably aren't seized. I don't think the True-Trac is buildable, from what I understand. There is a lot of pressure on the side gears from the wave spring plates, so it would be hard to turn unless totally worn out. Once installed and used some to get the lube through the center working parts should be fine. I have two more for anyone that might be interested, after GMC 2500 4X4 sells his! I also have 3:54 ring and pinions. Thanks, Dan

Thanks Dan and Paul. I plan on maybe putting down 625 Hp with my supercharged Ls motor. I just want to see what one will handle the power. What do you think Dan? You seem very knowledgeable on these.

I don't know. I have tried to run the Cast #s, but find nothing concrete. I can assume that the true-trac is a Dana product for basic posi and the Power-Lok was an option that was specific to our trucks on the Spid Label. Maybe, some of our other board members have some input! LMK about the 3:54 gears. Thanks, Dan
