Firewall Shavers - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Looking for info on how to install firewall shavers in a 66 C10. Last year I bought the inner fenders from Brandon at SELFMADE FAB. Now I see he has firewall shavers and they look great installed with the inner fenders. In order to install them (shavers) to you have to cut the old firewall out or do folks simply weld them over the old firewall sheet metal? Any one have pics or a "how to?" They really do clean up the firewall. What concerns me is the inner bracing (inside cab) for the brake booster if the old firewall has to be cut out.

I see folks have done this often so it can't be all that difficult, right?
