Used power steering swap for 62

Good afternoon, I'm new to this forum and this is my first build. While this may be my first build, I am mechanically inclined, worked with power tools and welding, repaired my own vehicles for over 20yrs and I'm not afraid to dig into any part of this truck and do what needs to be done to make it they way I want.

I have a 62 C10 LWB Fleetside I am planning out. I don't know if this is a hard topic to find with keywords or not but I can't seem to find any threads on what vehicles I could pull a used power-steering setup from to install in my 62. I run across plenty of threads for "new" power steering kits (new) but I'd like to avoid $1000+ and pull parts if I can from another vehicle.

Has anyone every done this? My 62 is currently stock and I plan to keep the stock front-end suspension with torsion bars.

Thanks
Chris

Welcome to the forum

You will need a steering box and pitman arm from a '68-'86 C series or '87-'91 R series truck, Suburban or 2wd K5 Blazer. Then of course a steering box adapter plate. I do offer a kit for the '60-'62 frames that requires a little more work than the '63-'66 installation.
