Re: A real BadSeed

I got a great deal on the sandblasting at a local hot rod shop. The trailer rental cost more. Lol

In this picture you can see the inner structure (sitting on the door) that I welded inside the door to add a little strength to the area

Re: A real BadSeed

I'm considering a modern style inner door handle. i bought these on the cheap, and was only planning on using them for mock up, but, 2 sets came in the package, so I may sand the other set and paint them. Not 100% on these.

I got the seat rack from a 2001 Chevy crew cab and made a few adjustments to the legs and hand control. The seat wound up being kicked back a little more, lower in the back and easier to adjust. I plan on tucking in the adjuster handle in against the seat.

Re: A real BadSeed

When I got the frame back I went right to work. I borrowed a friend's plasma cutter, and fell in love. Now I'm saving all my change to buy one.

Re: A real BadSeed

Thanks guys! Haha, no, not a week. I've had this truck for 4 years now, and the pictures are catching up to where I currently am at. I don't get to work on it as much as I'd like. But don't want to flood you guys with pictures either. I can't find where I posted my rendering, so here it is. This is what I'm going for.

I'm gonna be running the Porterbbuilt Extreme Drop members on this frame.
Here you see the newly joined frame blended out, and the start of the drop member install. I also got their Bolt-on Bodydrop.

Re: A real BadSeed

You were not bluffing when you said you were going all out on this build! I really like the rounded door corners and the chop top. I usually hate chop tops but yours is subtle enough and gives the truck a more aggressive look. Major props on all the metal work and mods. What wheels do you plan to run?

Re: A real BadSeed

I live in San Diego. It seems like everyone on the streets is always distracted and trying to kill me. So, I prefer to keep this truck as drive-able as possible. My wife will be driving it as well as me. Well, that's the idea anyways. She likes to ride more than drive. But a bucket list item in my life is to drive this truck coast to coast on Route 66 and take in as much America as I can along the way. I also plan on sneaking it into a booth at SEMA after it's done, but we shall see. Gotta have goals right?

Re: A real BadSeed

One of my earliest memories of this truck I was standing on the seat holding onto the steering wheel and I put my mouth on it. While gross, that puts me at around 3 or 4 years old. Playin in dad's truck. Now, I have that truck, and steering wheel in my garage. Memories like that are steering this build a certain direction in some ways. I'm going to use the OEM steering wheel, but I will be modifying it to a smaller size. Then, I will have the grip wrapped to match the seat.

Re: A real BadSeed

Here's kind of a step by step in pictures. It doesn't look like I removed much, but the wheel feels and looks a lot smaller.

We are running the commotions on our build. The pics don't show how nice they are.
