fuel pump question??
I am building a new engine for my 72 c20 and have a fuel pump question. I have a crate 350 sbc and will be putting an edelbrock cam, intake and carb on it. I have read multiple places that with that setup you need to get the fuel pressure around 6psi. The problem is all the fuel pumps at that range I can find have 2 lines, but the original is a larger pump with 3 lines on it. Can I change this to a 2 line and if so what do I need to know? Any help would be appreciated.

Re: fuel pump question??
Eddy carbs don't like more than 5 psi.
Easier to use any stock pump and use a fuel regulator to control pressure. What intake are you gonna use? |

Re: fuel pump question??
Geezer is right about the carb being pressure sensitive. (he's pretty much right on everything he posts) With that said, if you want to run a two line pump you just cap off the return line. I've run edelbrocks without FP regulators with success before - personal preference, you can try the 2 line pump if it has too much pressure add a reg.

Re: fuel pump question??
appreciate it, I just wasn't sure how hard it was to convert to a 2 line more than anything
