Tire Size Recommendations

OK folks so I just received my new Intro's for my 87 C10 and need tire size recommendations. I am using a step side bed (not that i think it matters but just a FYI) and Porterbuilt Stage 3 Coil over set up on the truck.

The rims are a 22x10 in the rear and 20x8.5 in the front

Re: Tire Size Recommendations

22x10
285/40-22
30.9" tall
4.48" sidewall height
1.12" of tire per inch of wheel

I would def double check the 10" wide wheel fitting within the step-side well @ the planned ride height. I imagine back-spacing will be critical. Closest match for the front:

20x8.5
245/45-20
28.68" tall
4.34" sidewall height
1.13" of tire per inch of wheel

The dilemma will be the front height of that tire interfering w/the OE inner wheel tub. If sticking w/OE inner tubs, a 245/40-20 would be another option:

245/40-20
27.7" tall
3.85" sidewall height
same 1.13" of tire per inch of wheel

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.
