Im thinking I should have used a 1.5" spacer instead of 2"
In that picture it is 2.5" spindles and one coil cut in the front and a flip kit in the rear. As of now though its back apart and getting air ride....

They are staying I guess as I sold the Torque Thrusts a few weeks ago.

I wondered about using a 1.5 in the front but I think youd have issue with the dust cap on the spindle. I dont know if youd be able to run a center cap on the front. Let me know if you switch, mine is still tight now with the rolled lip and a little negative camber. It doesnt rub when turning anymore though, just on the inner when theres a dip/pothole in the road. I have removed the inners for now so it will air out as far as possible when I get done with all that.

Depending on the room I will have out back when aired out I'm planning to switch to a 285/50 rear and the 245/40 i mentioned before on front.

Re: 2010 Camaro Wheels on Lowered C10

Im not sure how it works out on your fleetside but on my stepside I have a ton of room in the rear. I almost feel like it needs like a 3.5" spacer in the rear theres so much room. And theres a good inch or more on the passenger side front but Im thinking thats got to do with my fender not being positioned properly. Driver side is a whole different story.....I might be able to fit a couple pennys between the outside of the tire and the inside of the fender lip.I dont suppose you have any pics of how your fenders are rolled do you? Also are you getting any vibration from the spacers? Im not able to drive mine yet due to the fender clearance thing and was just wondering.

Re: 2010 Camaro Wheels on Lowered C10

I didn't have any vibrations or anything from them, it rode just as good as it did on the 17s.

My only worry on the back is that the 285/50 is like 31" tall. There is plenty of room width wise.

The front for me was tight on both sides, sounds like your clip might be crooked maybe? Here's the only picture I have of the rolled fenders. I used a friend of mines Eastwood fender roller to do it.

This was before with the trim, I haven't put that back on yet.

Re: 2010 Camaro Wheels on Lowered C10

yep, thats about what my driver side looks like but on passenger side theres a good inch at least. I've got rodney(RodsGreen) trying to find someone with one of those fender roller tools but they have knockoffs on ebay for like $40 shipped so Ill buy one if I have too. I need to roll and pull the rears out about an inch for my drag radials when I run them but its going to make the gap with the camaro wheels look even bigger so that sucks. Hey man I really appreciate all the help. Thank you. Its always nice to have someone with a similar setup to compare to. Heres what Ive got going on ..

I've got 2" adapters up front with mine too and they are nowhere near that close...

I know this is an old post, but to fit the Camaro wheels on, do you need 2" thick spacers? All i can seem to find is 1.25" thick. 1984 Chevy Scottsdale

yes.If you go any thinner in the front then the spindle nut cover will not allow the wheels to seat fully. These are the ones Im using.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-Wheel-Adap...item4b0abc6dea

Just a testament to their durability, I lost control on the 1-2 shift about a week ago and slammed my truck into a curb sideways....Broke chunks out of both of the camaro wheels on passenger side and tore holes in the tires and these spacer adapters held up. that was alot of force exerted and not so much as a crack or loose wheel stud. Im impressed.

No problem brother. And crap happens. I'll get my buddy to weld some material on the lip, then I'll grind em out and paint them flat black. 😉

Re: 2010 Camaro Wheels on Lowered C10

Well since this thread got bumped it reminded me to update my setup in here. The truck is bagged now an I switched to a 1.5" thick front spacer. I had to grind out the inside of the wheel so it fit over the spindle. About 20-30 mins with a rotary file an a few test fits was all it took. The front center caps don't fit anymore though.

These nubs are what you'll have to grind down an possibly a little more. I am running 1.25 front brakes so maybe with 1" ones it wouldn't be as much.

The main reason I switched was for extra clerance here when aired out.

2" thick spacer

1.5" thick spacer

All finished up an aired out. Now running a 245/40 front and a 295/45 rear.

I really like those camaro wheels. I bought a set of the steel heritage wheels.

I like it. Much needed updated look. Square bodies just look better lowered and have tires and wheels that fill up those squared off big wheel wells. IMHO! :-)

What did everyone do for lug nuts? All the adapters i have found have a m12x1.5 stud size. I believe the camaro lug nuts are m14x1.5 7/8". Did you have to use a m12x1.5 7/8" or 13/16" nut? I tried a 3/4" nut and it almost goes right through my rim.

Re: 2010 Camaro Wheels on Lowered C10

My eBay adapters have 1/2-20 studs. I used the lugs that came with them to hold the adapter to the truck an some chrome 60* seat lugs From my old torque trusts to hold the wheel to the adapter.

Re: 2010 Camaro Wheels on Lowered C10

Hate to bump this thread but hoping to get some info. Thinking about running this rims on my 87 pickup. It's going to be lowered 3.5" in front (spindles and ridetech coils) and 4-5" in the rear. I will be running 30" tires. If I run the 2" adapters, will there be enough clearance? I can't see most of the pictures thanks to photobucket. Any help would be great. Thank!

BACK FROM THE DEAD!
Hi all, finally got around to getting my wheels. I bough 2” adapters, but the nuts that secure the adapter to the rotor and drum don’t fully cover the lugs. Did anyone else have this problem?
