What are these holes for in the door?

The truck is a 68. I am not sure what year the doors are and I have all of these holes that I am trying to figure out what they are for. The previous owner had 72 door panels in the truck.

Overall pic of the door

Round holes

And a square hole.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

The top holes are for the chrome strip that holds the 67-71 panel in place. The bottom holes have a square nut that fits in them to screw down the bottom of the panel.

Those are where your inner door panels bolt on. The top of the panel is held down by a metal strip. Square inserts with little flanges on the back fit in the square holes. The inserts are threaded for the mounting screws. Your second picture shows one of those inserts.

You can wish in one hand and crap in the other.
See which one gets filled first.

If the P/O had 72 panels, he may have drilled the holes out so the
plastic keepers that hold the panel on would work properly.

They are all factory holes...

Those are all factory holes for the top and bottom of the door panel.

Here is a full picture of the door in question.
