Nice truck indeed. But as soon as I read this article on our local online newspaper I remembered your post. If you are still looking for your stolen truck, be careful or just move on. Some things are not worth pursuing.

Re: Stolen Truck Alert - 1972 C20 Custom Camper
Truck recovered. The idiot that stole it was doing burn-outs in a church parking lot in Henderson, Neveda. Rattle canned it flat black and really messed up wiring. Was going to have it painted any way but looks like I will be buying a new harness.

Congrats on the recovery, it sucks about the paint and harness. Happy to hear you got it back, too many never see them again.

Re: Stolen Truck Alert - 1972 C20 Custom Camper
Gets even better. I found a copy of C/10 Builder Guide in the truck along with all his garbage. Looks like he had dreams of restoring before he went back to prison. Here a picture of the excellent wiring work he did and some of the crap he had in truck.

Is he available for some electrical work? His work looks better than what I started with! Ha. Glad you got it back. Wonder if that was all just in the hotwire attempt? Hope he enjoys three squares a day for a long, long time.

Re: Stolen Truck Alert - 1972 C20 Custom Camper
Good news on the recovery! Of course it is bittersweet but still you have most of it back.
Congrats on the "new" truck it's way cool! My wish for you is that you enjoy your trucks and not worry if some piece of sh@t will try to steal then. We don't need that kind of stress! All the Best, Dirk |

Re: Stolen Truck Alert - 1972 C20 Custom Camper
I am going to repair wiring as soon as rain stops. Transmission was rebuilt 1-1/2 years ago. New water pump, new alt, starter, carb rebuilt, power steering pump rebuilt. Has late model alum wheels.
