Selling one set of NOS 68 chevy 1/2 ton painted hubcaps for the nub style wheels (will not fit clip style wheels), all four are still in the original GM shipping bags yet and have been stored long and well, each cap is pictured separately below. Mike, per our phone conversations today and after checking them all over again and even a third time, these caps (as the pics show) imho really are in superb NOS condition. The caps have NO dents, dings or metal flaws, they have never been test fit or snapped on any wheel and the few black marks on the silver that I mentioned after looking them over again is NOT shelf wear as the black was painted after the silver, its just plain period GM quality paint/mask work from forty years back. I have highlighted the one mentioned 1/32" x 1/2" flaw/scratch in the silver paint in the below added pic, again this is on the top right pictured cap of first pic and also fourth pic in about the 1-2 o'clock position, again not a dent just a paint flaw. I never asked if you are interested in buying these to use or resale, just know that these 1/2 ton 67/68 nub style caps do not come up very often in NOS, it took eight years of on and off again searching to come up with the fourth one to make this set complete, the cost of this fourth cap was $193. last year. Besides the clip vs. nub 1/2 ton styles, the only difference is the paint color to my knowledge, although I will add there was another board member sometime back that kept posting about a variation in the stamping of the bowties, which could of been a manufacturing/plant variance, I just had never came across it myself. The two 67/68 bowties pictured below are exactly the same besides the paint scheme, this NOS 67 hubcaps packaging says contents made in Canada under the listed group number. Mel

Mike, I do not want to part with any NOS 67's at this time but your NOS 68 hubcaps are under way, they were shipped out fedex ground insured on Thur. 02/16, fedex projected that you should see the box next Thur. 02/23 by the end of the day and due to insured value, the shipment will have to be signed for. If the current project truck list should change or NOS inventory changes, I will keep you in mind on both the NOS 67 chevy hubcaps and the later style NOS 69-72 chevy wheel covers.

Hi Nate, yes I knew what the variance was on the bowtie stampings from previous threads. I just meant with all the buying/selling over the years, I hadn't came across it in hand myself yet. Thanks for taking the time to add the pics though, Mel.
