My new project truck - found neat original equip
Found out new and interesting stuff on my project 72C10 Custom Deluxe today.
I was ripping out all wiring to install a new Painless wiring harness and fuse block and found some stuff I did not notice when I bought the truck, as it was so full of crap. #1 - still has original jack stowage decal on back of cab, AND the ORIGINAL JACK is still in its place! Is this worth anything? #2 - there is a very original looking valve knob on the floor just in front of the bench seat. It turns a quarter of a turn, and back. What the %^&## is it for. I will go under neath tommorrow when I run the new wiring to the tail section, but thought someone may also have one of these.

Most likely, that's a fuel tank select switch. Check the plumbing underneath. That was the stock location for dealer-installed long-range extra tank selector. Even if some PO ripped out a rusty spare tank. If not, it could be a battery master switch.

That's really cool to find the jack. I had a 71 SWB loaded Cheyenne that I drove for about 15 years. Had a moment of weakness and sold it. It still had the original jack and also had the handle wrapped in the original bag. I now have a loaded 72 SWB Custom Deluxe, Originally had the highlander package. Decal is still there but no jack or handle.

are the jack stickers that hard to find intact? every 67-72 i have looked at in person has had it, even the ones in the junkyards. mine is still there but is 90% covered by the nasty black Ziebart rustproofing that was put on who knows how long ago.
but thats awesome that you found the original jack, most seem to up and vanish (like mine did)
