Bed of truck is slanted - body moldings not lining up

New to the forum so thanks in advance for your help. The bed of my 69 C10 is slanting to the back. I noticed it tonight while my daughter was driving the truck and I was driving in a different car. The bed does have a little bit of rust in the back specifically where the mounting bolts are located. Any suggestions on how to straighten it out? Take the bed off and check the connections?

Take a full side view picture so we can see the gap between the cab and bed ,also a picture of your rear cab mounts . any frame work been done ? how long have you owned it ? picture of rust at rear mounts ?

Yes more pics, may need new cab mounts. I love the tag, we just made a new color for our cabinetry and named it seafoam it is very close to the color of your awesome truck

The bed is solid mounted to the frame. If there is misalignment, as mentioned above it is your rear cab bushings have sagged over the years.

A misaligned cab/bed is my number one biggest pet peeve on these trucks. I am actually going through the same thing on my truck. My bed looked like it was sagging in the rear. As mentioned above, the bed is solid mounted to the frame so your best bet is to start with new cab mounts and go from there. For me, my bed was still not quite how I liked it so I had to add spacers under the rear bed mounts to level it out. I set up a string level with the lower cab body line and tied it out past the bed on a jackstand. Then I just played with spacers until I got the body line perfectly lined up. For now I just used 1/16" thick washers to fine tune the alignment and now that I know what it needs to be, I'll machine some spacers for it. It's not factory and I'm still somewhat mystified as to why it won't align as intended, but I'd rather have a visually correct bed alignment.

The moldings are to be slanted down a little in the back. If you will look at the first curve down from the bed rail. It is a shorter distance from the bed rail to the curve on the front of the bed compared to the back. When the moldings are put on a truck the right way, they will have a small curve to them from front to back.

Lower ones are a different story. They should be straight from front to back. When I looked at your picture again. The rear of the cab needs raised some. New mounts if it does not have them or spacers will get it. Thats the body line you need to get lined up before messing with the moldings.
