Post I met up with 3 board members this weekend!!!!!

My family and I travelled to Saskatoon to take in Draggins Custom and Hot Rod show. And I had brunch with Bowtie (Bernie), Stingray (Ray) and S'toon Boy (Randy). And let me tell you, these are top notch guys. Bernie supplied all of us with our own collection of 69 Hot Wheels as easter eggs. Thanks again Bernie. Ray and Randy are a couple of the best guys you could meet. Along with our wives, we had a great time. Everyone at that table was so into these 67-72's. We were even bragging on how our wives are getting as good as us, or better , at spotting and recognizing the years of these trucks. All in all, it was an awesome weekend. As soon as i get my pics developed from the show, I will be sharing them with everyone on the board.

dubie, sounds like a good time for sure. my wife is getting good at spotting them too. You guys sound like a top notch bunch to me.
I hope to meet up with some board members this weekend at Charlotte, I'll have my trusty digi cam, so maybe we'll have some faces with those names....LOL

Maybe I can meet some of you northern guys someday....eb

You would have to come pretty far north to meet up with us, but that would be cool!! I wish I would have snapped a pic of the 4 of us together, but never thought of it at the time. But I did manage to sneak a pic of Bowtie's sweet Shorty, and I will definately be posting that pic along with the other 67-72 I saw there.

Hey don get overly excited about wifes spotting trucks-my wife points out everyone she sees,i usually see it to,but feel its not worth mentioning.Hey Micah theres a 67 GMC theres a 69 or 70 Chev, that one has big block emblems, that one has a tilt, that ones got bumper gaurds-sometimes i wish she didnt and i could just note them for myself anymore, but she does catch stuff i dont like at the swapmeet we were driving down the road and she said arent those the rims you like?I turned around and sure enough a set of vintage Torque Thrusts, spent a dollar to get in $75 on 4-Americans,rented a $5 cart and i was on my way, still love her for that one,she knows her sh*t i can leave her in my swapmeet booth while i shop, she knows whats small and big block-how much for what-shes even brought BB towers and such back to me after a trip to the bathroom, and said i hope you dont get mad i know you have a bunch of these but they were only $15-how the heck could i get mad?WEll she did sell a Big Block 11" bellhousing for $20 after i paid $40 for it once, and i had a guy looking for that date, and easily woulda paid$100 but hey cant win em all-it wasnt even in the 4 sale pile-OH well.Coulda been worse!!!!

I got a few pics at the car show of a couple very nice trucks. All of the burb guys will be interested in a mildly customized burb that was there and is for sale for about $20k Candadian. I will try to post them tonite. I did my best to represent the board to these guys and hope that they too will sign on as members.

Hey Micah you're quite talkative there. How've you been feeling?

Well we had a great time meeting the other board members (Ray, Tim & Randy) and their families. After exchanging e-mails and phone calls it was good to meet these people in person. Ray was an excellent host and even bought our brunch. I forgot my camera so I'm depending on these guys for some pics. Hopefully we'll see more of S'toonboy on the board and at the track. When the weather is a lot nicer hopefully we can all bring our pickups out and have a 'campout'.
