Brake line questions

I was just wondering what the sizes the ends are on the brake hose from the frame to my HO 52 axle. Are both ends the same size? What is a good line diameter? What is the total length I will need for a 3 in lift.

Thanks for any input. I will be putting a tuff country lift on my truck and needed a longer brake line. I cant take off my line to bring it to the store because I need to be able to drive my truck out to the ranch to work on it.

Re: Brake line questions

if it has lines on it already probably better off trying to get those off in once piece and going to the parts store and see if they can match them up especially if they are some weird size. i believe the ho72 i just took out of my 1ton is just 1/4 inch line but might be different then the 52

Re: Brake line questions

Thanks guys I had a hose and fitting store make a line for me. I thought it was exact but one of the fittings he put on the hose was flared when it should have been inverted flared.
Top part from frame was 7/16 -24 and bottom to the tee was 7/16-20. I was told it was an odd setup.
I ended up having to go to Summit to get two fittings that went to 3-AN and used a premade stainless hose with 3AN female connectors on both sides.
