Anyone know where I can find a brake plate?
I live in upstate NY and am looking for a brake mounting plate for the factory drums on the front of a 1970 k10. Would appreciate any leads. Thanks in advance!

I'd check the bone yards or post a WTB on the parts board. I needed some hard to find brake parts, posted a WTB & got a quick response.

He can't post a WTB on the board unless he becomes a Premium member. LockDoc

Just hit the subscribe link on top go to premium member. It's 25 bucks and well worth it for the year.

Like Bigrig said, scroll up to the top of this page and click on the word "Subscribe" in the menu bar. There are a couple of different "Premium" rates.

Re: Anyone know where I can find a brake plate?
Ok. Don't want to make you guys crazy, but are c10 and k10 front brake plates interchangeable? Seems like they would be. Have not bee able to find this part anywhere, but a yard in Tennessee has a 70 c10 with all four still on it. Also, is there a right and left? The one I do have looks symmetrical except for one small notch. Thanks!

Re: Anyone know where I can find a brake plate?
you might consider upgrading your front end to a disc brake front end...the ones from the square body trucks bolt right in, you just need to get the equalizer valve and change master cylinder as well....73-76 had the dana 44's, I think after that chevy used the 10 bolt...but not a bad front end either
