Re: My truck got stolen

That's terrible, seeing this post has made me think a little more about what kind of security devices I can install in my truck, such as a hidden kill switch of some kind. Hope you find it all in one piece.

Re: My truck got stolen

Can you post information like:

Year
Original make
Model (custom?)
engine size
any special parts (names, part numbers.....)
license plates
etc, etc

The more info we have, the more likely it will be spotted, found....

Re: My truck got stolen

Really sorry to hear this, we put so much work into these trucks.
I'm forced to park mine on the street and it worries me for sure.
Did you have any security on it? Wondering how hard they had to work to get it? Again, super bummed for you.

Oh! I'm so glad you've found it with very little damage! I know what it's like to have a vehicle stolen.

No thay did not pull prints. I am trying to look at different ways to stop them from taking it again. There are lot of people saying about different ways. Like hood lock.I have a kill switch.I need something for the e brake.

Re: My truck got stolen

It sounds like a steering lock will be beneficial. Hood lock isn't much help if they literally popped the door open and pushed it down the street. Maybe a newer Ididit column with the ignition on the column. If they can't steer it or get the trans out of gear, it makes it a lot harder to steal it. But no matter what, if they want something bad enough, they will get it. They can break the column and then you're back to where you were before. My Uncle lives in Houston and his mustang was broken into/stolen 6 times. The 6th time no one ever found it. He kept adding stuff to detour thieves each time it got broken into or stolen.. Well apparently, that just ticked the thieves off and made it worse.
