Da-Burb and I met Joesjunk and his buddy at the Walmart just off I-35 on the north side of DesMoines (technically Ankeny).
Plenty of room and light in the parking lot, and the Chili's across the street was a good place to eat.
The walmart we went to is labeled 1 on this map, the exit off I35 is IA-160 W exit, exit number 90.

Scrapped that rental plan, my wife is following me with the Jimmy. She changed her work schedule and got a sitter for the baby.
We plan to visit my uncle in Carlisle after meeting so south side would be better.

I would vote for the Machine Shed Resaurant at exit 124. I believe it's named Clive Ave. There's a big Flying J truck stop at the same exit, only on the West side of I35/80...they are running together at that point. Go East a few hundred feet, be on the North side of the road. We have one up here in Lk Elmo and it is great !!! Big family sized portions. So you bought the Blazers, eh', Randy ?? I don't think you will be dissappointed with your purchase.

I think the Machine Shed Restaurant (a very good place to eat) is on Hickman. You may have the exit mumber correct. I don't pay attention to those. The rest of the info is correct I think.
