Bad Burnout Fail on '69 or '70 Stepside
Never seen this one before, a '69 or '70 hopping when attempting to do a burnout.

I would not believed that was possible without seeing it.

Re: Bad Burnout Fail on '69 or '70 Stepside
22 yrs ago back when my car was still a 231/3spd it could violently bounce the one m50.
During that time I broke a leaf spring, shock mount and ripped the front hanger off the floor all at separate times. Too think what I put that car through back then. But I've never seen anything bounce like that truck. Almost like it has hydraulics.lol

Re: Bad Burnout Fail on '69 or '70 Stepside
this video is gold. it always makes me laugh. There are just so many elements to it:
1. guy pulls up likes he's all macho and about to light 'em up 2. truck bounces and wood planks and stuff fly all over the place 3. dude driving the truck hits the roof a couple times, his buttocks must have went 18 inches off the seat LOL! 4. guy recording laughs and says "what the..." just as the video ends. GOLD I TELL YA, and knowing the douchey guys that hang out in mall parking lots just makes it even better. A+++ classic video |

What a terrible way to treat that truck. I don't baby mine by any stretch of the imagination, but I also refuse to deliberately mistreat it.

Yeah Junior. Take Gramps his truck back and get back in your Ford. This is how you treat an old Chevy. You respect it and it will give you anything you ask

Re: Bad Burnout Fail on '69 or '70 Stepside
There's a common theme with amateur videos:
1) Vertical (ugh!). 2) They end just when you want to see what's going on. To me it looked like he had line locks or something. It wasn't moving forward at all while it was bouncing around. Damn shame to do that to an old truck...

Re: Bad Burnout Fail on '69 or '70 Stepside
Probably had the rear brake line pinched off

Re: Bad Burnout Fail on '69 or '70 Stepside
I went thru two rear ends in my 1st car, a floppy leaf 57 bel air, before I grew up for financial reasons... He probably won't do that again.
