Suburban rear side glass weather stripping
I managed to break the right rear side glass (the big one!!). I need a new gasket to install the new glass. Any idea where I can get one?

Re: Suburban rear side glass weather stripping
If you find a used one try soaking it in a bucket of water with lots of dish soap. I did that on my fixed quarter window seals and it did wonders for them.
Good luck.

Re: Suburban rear side glass weather stripping
I just broke my passenger door window glass (riding mower can really throw some rocks)
Ordered up new runners from our local vendor GMCPaul who always seems to carry good quality "Precision" rubber parts, felts, runners, etc. Looks like he sells by by the set too. $240 http://www.gmcpauls.com/Suburban_-_Panel.htm |

Re: Suburban rear side glass weather stripping
How many people does it take to replace the glass?
I have new weatherstrip and usually work alone. It seems like you'd need a couple people holding the glass and another to manipulate the gasket.

The three of us got the glass out, cleaned/scraped the glass, cleaned the channel and prepped the seals to go in with dish soap, all in about an hour and a half. |
